Organ transplantation is an operation in which organs or parts of them are transferred from one organism to another. This process may be necessary for adults and children, as health may experience unforeseen difficulties. Many diseases can cause organ failure, which leads to the need for transplantation.

2. How do I get on the list of those who are waiting for a transplant?
In order to be included in the register of potential recipients of organs or tissues, it is necessary to contact your clinic and undergo a medical examination. This will allow you to be included in the list within the framework of the GOBMP or in the OSMS system.
The decision on the need for organ transplantation is made by a specialized medical group, which consists of various specialists. The composition of the group is determined depending on the nature of the violation of the functions and structures of the patient's body, as well as on the severity of his clinical condition. If the medical team confirms the need for transplantation, the information is sent to the transplant coordinators. The patient is placed on the waiting list and remains there until a compatible organ or tissue is found from a posthumous donor.
